I call my limited-edition perfumes FAIT MAIN — French for made by hand.
My passion, my curiosity, and my creativity go into each bottle. This is how I engage with the world around me: I take things in, I process them, and I create new things.
The first Fait Main was made in 2012. I was glad that something so different from what was already out there was so appreciated by fragrance lovers. Fait Main is my version of a painter’s sketch or a novelist’s short story. I push myself to try new ingredients and new ideas. It’s my deep dive into perfumery, both work and play.
My hands blend no more than 50 bottles of each Fait Main extrait. Keeping the quantities small allows me to truly experiment without worrying about how many will sell. Some are concentrated in small glass flacons to be applied sparingly. Others are best in a spray to be used more liberally.
I’ll keep researching and experimenting and creating Fait Main, and I don’t think I’ll ever run out of ideas. Ideas are just like dreaming, and dreams are infinite. It means the world to me to share my thoughts and feelings with you in the fragrant form.
